Great place to stay with a personal touch We spent Christmas here, with all the Christmas fare that we would have at home. Had the most incredible experience at this lovely ‘camp’ site. Safe secure with staff 24/7. It’s posh camping, I would say, Has heavy duty fixed tent, set on concrete foundation, Complete with a semi mess door, double bed, mosquito net, everything you’d expect to find in a hotel room, nice roomy bathroom & toilet. Lovely shower. Has a veranda with comfy chairs to relax, over looking the water hole where all sorts of animals & large birds, (including giraffes & elephants) come all day & night to drink. Sounds of nature all around. Electric fence around the campsite. The staff were the absolute best. Always attentive with big smiles. Florian, the manager was always there day & night, always making sure we were ok throughout our stay. Staying late & up early. Our stays included all food and drinks, river cruises & game drives with our guide Simon who was so good & knowledgeable. The food was lovely. My only regret is we couldn’t stay longer.

Chobe Safari & Elephant Valley Lodge We had an amazing time here. Sox, Florian and all of the staff at Elephant Valley were so accommodating and welcoming. The accommodations were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the views of animals around the watering hole were incredible. Sox was the most knowledgeable and helpful Chobe safari guide we could ever have hoped for! We couldn’t believe his rich knowledge of every bird, mammal, reptile, insect and plant we had questions about. He really made it a truly extraordinary experience for us. Lots of amenities and personalized service! We spent two nights at EVL and had a wonderful time. Our guide, Labo, was brilliant, and helped us find and identify dozens of birds, which was one of our main areas of interest. He was amazingly knowledgeable and fun to spend time with. The game viewing was satisfying as well, though we found Okavango to be exceptional for seeing the widest variety of animals in a condensed time frame (not the fault of EVL). If you adore elephants, EVL will definitely not disappoint! Amenities like air conditioning and laundry service were especially appreciated, and the host and all of the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We also appreciated how Florian focused on providing us the specific activities we wanted. He was very responsive to two different requests for help with small issues with our cabin.One quibble—Perhaps others would disagree, but we felt the lack of seatbelts in the open vehicles was a safety hazard on the tar road, where speeds and traffic were significant.

Magical! What a time we had here! Our experience was magical. We loved the setting, our “tent”, the staff, the food, our guide, and the crowning glory, the water hole!. We were in Africa for 3 weeks, and this was definitely the highlight. Chobe Park was great. We saw so much there. Unique because we saw it by jeep and by boat.If I had one suggestion, it would be to provide robes in the rooms. It does get a little chilly removing yourself from the cozy electric blanket early in the morning.

Simply amazing! After waiting for 2 years (due to covid) we finally made it to Botswana and our first camp, EVL. What an amazing time we had. Unbeknownst to us, were the only guests for our 4 days at the end of April. It was like having your own private safari!The tents were spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our morning and evening game drives were great - we could not believe the number of animals we saw - a lion on the first afternoon! Chobe National Park was amazing. Special thanks to our wonderful guide, Lebo, for guiding us through our 4 days - we learned so much from you! EVL also arranged for our day trip to Victoria Falls - something not to be missed! Elephants at the water hole during our evening dinners, hyenas howling at night and baboons screeching good morning are just some of the memories that we will never forget. Thank you to all of the EVL staff for making our first trip to Africa so memorable: Florian, Eugene, Lebo, Oti, the chefs, cleaners and grounds keepers.

Great camp near Chobe N.P. This is a great camp near Chobe NP. Comfortable, lovely accomodations. The meals were delicious. Knowledgeable safari guides. So many animals spotted on our safaris, amazing! Don’t miss out on this camp, it’s a good one. Also, we highly recommend pairing this camp with their sister camp in Okavango Delta, Kadizora Camp.

Best Wildlife Viewing! Great guides, attentive staff, awesome food. Everything about this camp was perfect. We stayed in the Lux tents - very nice. Amazing wildlife viewing. This year there is an unbelievable number of animals in Chobe, very exciting. We also recommend pairing Elephant Valley Lodhe with their sister camp, Kadizora Camp in the Okavango Delta.
